1. Who we are and what this covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Card Cloud Club ("we", "us") handles information when you use cardcloudclub.com (the "Site"), a free social casino for adults 19+ in Canada, excluding Ontario and Quebec. It is written to meet Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws, which are the laws we follow for this Site.
Our privacy contact can be reached at [email protected]. We do not publish a postal address and do not accept post.
2. Information we collect
We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, date of birth, address, payment details or any identification to play. The age check is a single yes-or-no question; we store only the answer "19" in your browser and never send it to us.
We receive personal information only when you choose to email us (see section 5) and, in limited technical form, through ordinary web hosting logs (see section 6).
3. Browser storage on your device
The Site uses your browser's local storage, not tracking cookies, to make the games work. These values stay on your device and are not transmitted to us:
ccc-age: records that you confirmed you are 19 or over.ccc-consent: records your storage choice ("accept" or "reject").ccc-credits: your virtual credit balance, which has no cash value.ccc-pause: the end time of a play pause you set, if any.ccc-sound(optional): whether game sound is on or off.ccc-recent(optional): the last few roulette numbers, for the recent-numbers strip.
Optional keys are only written if you choose "Accept all", and are removed when you choose "Necessary only". Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
4. What we do not collect or use
- No accounts, profiles or logins.
- No analytics tools, heatmaps or session recording.
- No advertising, advertising cookies, remarketing or tracking pixels.
- No social media plugins and no third-party scripts, fonts, videos or embeds. Everything, including the home page video, loads from cardcloudclub.com.
- No geolocation and no location vendors.
- No payment information, because nothing can be bought.
- No sale or rental of personal information, ever.
5. When you email us
If you write to [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected], we receive your email address, the content of your message and any details you include. We use this only to read and answer your message, to keep a record of privacy or legal requests where needed, and to protect the Site from abuse. Please do not send sensitive information we do not need.
6. Hosting and security logs
As with nearly every website, the servers that deliver the Site may automatically record basic technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Our hosting and network providers process these logs on our behalf for security, troubleshooting and preventing abuse. We do not use them to profile you, to track you across sites or for marketing. These providers may store data in Canada or other countries, where it may be subject to the laws of those countries.
7. How we use information
- To run the games and remember your settings in your browser.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To keep the Site secure, reliable and free from abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling or automated decisions.
8. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share information only with service providers who host the Site or deliver our email, under obligations to protect it and use it only for us; when required by law, such as a valid court order; or to protect the safety, rights or security of users, the public or the Site.
9. Retention and safeguards
Browser storage stays on your device until you clear it or choose "Necessary only" for optional keys. Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, generally no longer than 24 months, unless the law requires longer. Hosting logs are kept for a short period set by our providers for security purposes. We protect information with reasonable safeguards including HTTPS, a strict Content Security Policy and limited access to our mailboxes.
10. The ten PIPEDA fair information principles
We apply the ten fair information principles set out in Schedule 1 of PIPEDA:
- Accountability. We are responsible for personal information under our control and have a designated privacy contact at [email protected].
- Identifying purposes. This policy explains why we handle each kind of information: to run the games, answer messages and keep the Site secure.
- Consent. Optional browser storage is only used with your choice in the storage bar, and you can change that choice at any time with "Cookie settings".
- Limiting collection. We collect only what is needed. There are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising.
- Limiting use, disclosure and retention. We use information only for the purposes stated, do not sell it, and keep it only as long as needed.
- Accuracy. We keep the little information we hold, such as an email conversation, accurate for its purpose, and will correct it on request.
- Safeguards. We protect information with security measures suited to its sensitivity.
- Openness. This policy and our Cookie Policy describe our practices in plain language.
- Individual access. You can ask what personal information we hold about you and receive it, as described in section 11.
- Challenging compliance. You can challenge our compliance by writing to [email protected], and you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
11. Your rights and how to use them
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, give you access to it, correct it, or delete it where the law allows, and you can withdraw consent to optional storage at any time. Email [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days, and tell you if we need more time as PIPEDA allows. Because browser storage stays on your device, you can also delete it yourself at any time by clearing the Site's data in your browser settings.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca/, or your provincial privacy commissioner where provincial law applies.
12. Age and minors
The Site is for adults 19 or over only and is not directed at children or anyone under 19. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has emailed us, contact [email protected] and we will delete that message.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, show a notice on the Site. Questions or requests: [email protected]. General support: [email protected]. Legal notices: [email protected].
